Hey! How r u? Thanks for noticing my new post.
Today I'd like to show you my latest creation. My NEW costume :)
Last Saturday (October 16), I got a chance to perform a dance with my dance team (which was newly formed, and this day was our debut). We got a chance to entertain the participants of National Medical Challenge (NMC) on the closing party. The theme of the party was "Gorgeus and Glamour". When I heard that word for the first time, I thought only two colors, black and gold to represent both "gorgeous" and "glamour". But as Indonesian, I thik batik is the perfect symbol to represent "Gorgeus and Glamour". Therefore, my teammates and I decided to choose the color black, gold, and batik as the "main course" of our costumes.
at first I was confused about how to make these fabrics look gorgeous and glamorous. absolutely no idea. Then I watched a Japanese movie titled Crows Zero (taken from anime with the same tittle, played by famous Japanese Idol--Oguri Shun), which tells about delinquents at a Japan all-boys high school who always got involved in fights. Among those students in the movie there was no single student who wear a standard uniform (Japanese highschool uniform is called GAKURAN. It looks like a Japanese army uniform at the second world war. Or the Japanese naval uniforms in earlier times - if I'm not mistaken . To know more about Gakuran history, you can see in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_school_uniform)
Now, try to compare the original Gakuran with the movie's version. The version in the film seems more fascinating, isn't it? According to me and some friends, the movie's version of gakuran is more like Beskap (traditional dress in Java for men).

Beskap of Central Java |
Gakuran in the movie's version seems shorter (the belt can be seen). And the front shape of gakuran was longer than the back. It is the same with Beskap (you can search it on your search engine).
I really inspired with both beskap and gakuran. And I really amazed with the belt shown. So I thought to combine this beskap/gakuran style, with good belt. I really want to copy a little style from a dance team I love the most, the Beatfreaks. Just look at the picture on this left. You know what I mean right? Gold belt and gold chain.
So I made this style, the original style I wore on the stage that night
If you look closer on the clothes, you will find that I tried my best to implicate beskap/ gakuran.
and the gold belt too (Actually it's not a real gold belt. I just wrapped my belt with a gold fabric--because my budget is so limited)
If you look at the back, actually it's shorter than the front. just like Genji Takiya's Gakuran/ beskap. Unfotunately, I forgot to take my back's picture.
Nothin special.
For the makeup, I only applied two colors, gold and black (again), a little white eyeliner, and --of course-- a lot of glitter.
Back again!
After a long season, now I'm back with more "passion", especially for ANIMALPRINT style! I don't care if this is "off-season" or "old-fashion", some fashion blogger said that to write a fashion blog you don't have to be updated. You just need to put everything you like, write everything you like, and show anything you like. As long as you put your heart into it, everybody will simply love it.
So this is all about a cloth that I found in my sister's closet. It was an old cloth. My sister was about to throw that cloth away but then I asked her to give it to me.
The cloth material is tight and elastic.with turtleneck and half-arm sleeves.
I remember this cloth was given to my sister about 1-2 years ago. So you must think that it is old-fashion--far off the season. But this cloth just gave me a lot of ideas. Here the ideas:
I really love the animalprint on my body!! I combined with my own creation--the black skirt, black gloves, and fishnet in my head (just for accessories). I didn't put any make up (because I run out of eyeliner). But I think smokey eyes will suit best. For shoes, I was wearing black wedges with open toe (but maybe it works best with black stilettos). Sometimes I put black legging under my skirt because my leg is not "beautiful" at all.
So, what do you think? Still, the animalprint really amazes me......
What d'ya think? This is a really serious type. Like a killer-teacher, right? But still it looks sweet too.
I combined the animalprint cloth with a dress (that's original from me), and (again) legging and black-open toe wedges (black jeans works best than legging). But a longer dress seems work best. If you want to look simple, I guess this is a good option to make the animalprint look less.
THIRD
I want more casual wear. So I decide not to "wear" the cloth, but to "put" the cloth around my neck like an accessories.
and here is my best shot:
I really like it. Simple but still-->animalprint fever!! Next thing I want to do is to buy an animalprint scarf!!
Next, I just want to wear something in my head, so, voila!

FIRST
I want a CRAZY-LOOK, a 'lil bit Asian taste (you'll find a lot of Asian who dress with animalprint pattern), I want to look like Asian idol (I think I watch too much Korean and Japanese drama --;)I really love the animalprint on my body!! I combined with my own creation--the black skirt, black gloves, and fishnet in my head (just for accessories). I didn't put any make up (because I run out of eyeliner). Next, I just want to wear something in my head, so, voila!
I guess I just want to taste a little bit winter season because we have no winter here. Although the combination between clothes, scarf and hat is a mess, but still, I like it. It's the same when you see Harajuku style which in fact so tacky and messy, but the public loves it anyway.
Well, I hope you like this post, and please leave comments. Anyway, sorry for my bad English, but enjoy!
XOXO
